MFTE Housing in Seattle
Supporting the People Who Support Our Community
Income-qualified studio and one-bedroom homes through Seattle’s Multifamily Tax Exemption (MFTE) program
The Loop is proud to participate in the City of Seattle’s Multifamily Tax Exemption program, which sets aside a portion of our homes at reduced rents for income-qualified households. Our 12 MFTE apartments offer the same layouts, finishes, fixtures, and community amenities as every other home at The Loop. The only difference is the rent.

How to Apply
Applying for an MFTE home begins with the same application as any home at The Loop. Applicants pay a USD $45 application fee and must meet our standard screening criteria, including credit and rental history.
To verify income, applicants will need to provide three consecutive months of pay stubs, statements for all bank accounts, and documentation of any other income sources, including payment apps such as Venmo or Apple Cash. Applicants who are students or who receive SSI or rental assistance will need to submit the supporting paperwork for those programs as well.
Once your initial application is approved, our team will guide you through the additional MFTE certification forms required by the City of Seattle.
